Omega

In 1848, Louis Brandt set up a watch assembly shop in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. In 1894 he created a movement called Omega 19, which was so successfull that it became the name of his company.
By the early 20th century, Omega became one of the biggest watch manufacturers of the World, producing 100 000 watches a year.
Omega created the first watch worn on the Moon, the Speedmaster. Nasa selected it for manned missions to the Moon and on July 21st, 1969 Buzz Aldrin stepped on the lunar surface wearing a Speedmaster.
